This dining set is a gentle softness.

We had a very difficult time getting the 2 table top halves to separate to reveal the leaf. It turns out, the manufacturer physically **drilled screws** into the bottom of the table closed and there was nothing in the instructions telling us this detail. These "remove" block pieces blend in with the rest of the wood on the bottom of the table. They did stamp "remove," on them but again, these blocks blend into the table and unless you know to look for them, they can easily be missed. The bottom also has some interior damage I'm assuming from transit but it's hidden so I guess not a big deal aesthetic wise, but for integrity, time will tell. It’s really nice for the price, but smaller than expected. It looks like solid wood, but the dimensions provided were false. The unextended length is 47 in and with extension only 59in. I expected 59- 70in. I ended up keeping it cause It looks good in my small room and it would be too much hassle to return it. Also the price was pretty good. It came the next day I ordered it.. This is a beautifully crafted table in a rich espresso color. The tabletop features a unique and stunning pattern in espresso and black. Once assembled, it becomes a centerpiece that will likely earn many compliments. I will be thrilled when the matching sideboard is delivered. This set has truly transformed my dining room. ❤️ The original order was replaced and arrived in two separate shipments. The boxes were slightly damaged, and there was a small scuff on one corner of the table. I was able to fix it using a furniture touch-up kit. A small 1” x 2” wood inlay piece was missing from the leaf. Additionally, an extra box with two pedestals was delivered. I still gave five stars because when I contacted customer service, they resolved all the issues. The extra box has already been picked up, and the missing wood inlay was ordered from the vendor.
