I took a while to write this because it took us six months to find a contractor to put it together! Everyone is busy during peak contractor season. The finished product is amazing. It's a great deal and an amazing shed with lots of storage. Very stylish. I think our contractor had to buy paint, roof shingles and a couple of extra pieces of plywood. The shed arrived packaged in two big bundles and was delivered down two dirt roads to gravel driveway. Great delivery service ! My carpenter neighbor put the building together on piers. However he reinforced the floor with additional two by fours. The building was a good value with the windows. This building is my she-shed for my Mtn getaways. I love to camp and becoming intolerant to inconsiderate, loud, and drunk neighbors in next site. We purchased primitive lot in NC foothillmtn years ago. Unable to afford a second house here, my she shed will be my camping getaway site. No close site neighbors. Plenty of storage space on the shelf inside as well. Well the shed is great but the team sent out to install it were not even familiar with how to put together a shed. They said that they don't even get told what they're going to build just to bring tools and show up somewhere. I was very disappointed. They didn't even get to finish that day but I didn't want them to come back because they wouldn't be paid to come back an extra day. This cedar shed is perfect as an additional bunk house/office for our vacation/remote work location. My contractor, who assembled it had a few issues as the directions are pretty basic. So pay attention to part numbers as the illustrated plans indicate what goes where. It arrives on two pallets with wall panels that already have the siding attached and roof panels already shingled. He bought pressure treated 2x4s and better plywood for the base/floor since the cabin didn't come with all the pieces of flooring needed (super annoying) and making 6 or 8 joist boxes is kinda silly but due to fitting everything on pallets, that's necessary from a manufacturing standpoint. So we improvised. In these photos, we had painted the floor already, preparing for laying the final flooring. We will be insulating and adding a nice whitewashed paneling for the interior walls. We may run an extension cord out there or actually run power properly. Not sure yet. My contractor billed me 30 hours for assembly and he worked alone. Great shed! I need to complain first. The shed was supposed to be here april 12-15th instead it was on its way in February....that didn't work out so they postponed it until March 12th. Then there was a delivery issue, were they wanted me to pick it up (with a flat bed in ohio) OR rent a high-low to get it off there truck...!? Wait that's not what the add said!! Finally it came and got off the truck. The shed itself is easy to put together the trusses were a bit daunting and I would have to say the hardest part was figuring out the roof sheeting sizes. After that it was a snap, I even put in electrical and outside lighting in the soffit. I also used the box it came in to make a (FREE WORK BENCH) as well as rafters for extra storage...I used every bit of what they sent me and this is what I ended up with. I would include a picture if it had in fact been delivered this morning contrary to what I was told for the third time in the past week. I was told that it would be delivered last Sunday. It was pushed back until Wednesday, 1218 and then it was pushed back again till this Sunday 1222.. Somebody updated the tracking to say that they had attempted delivery on Wednesday the 18th when in fact they did not. They blamed that I had not opened a suitable drop zone for the delivery but nobody in fact ever showed up or called me. However, I got an email note today that it had been supposedly delivered this morning. No it had not been delivered. This order has been screwed up from the very beginning and its to the point where I cant believe anything that I see from Wayfair. Where it stands right now per Helen at the large parcel desk, shes waiting word from ABF who is going to be picking up my shed kit at the romeoville Illinois Warehouse and then schedule a delivery from there. I still dont know when its going to be delivered but I am extremely unhappy about how this whole order has been handled. Helen was very helpful this morning in getting to the bottom of where the shed in fact was which was at Romeoville because I had been told earlier that it was in Strongsville Ohio. All I want is my shed and some honest tracking data from Wayfair because whats in this order tracking is 90 garbage. All I want is my shed delivered and it better be in good condition or its going back. Thats all I have to say other than I will think long and hard before I buy anything from Wayfair again.
