It is a super cute bunk bed. Wood is good quality. Previous reviews said when the stickers are removed it takes the paint with it. So I left the ghastly warning sign on the very top rail, my oldest can read and hopefully reminds them not to hang. It would be rather tempting to hang on as a child! My 7 year old son loves his new bed! It’s sturdy and solid, the build was fairly easy (my husband and I completed it in an evening), and the unit is practical and fun. I am obsessed and so is my toddler! It's a beautiful bed, well made, full of storage, and fairly easy to put together (though time consuming, took us 3 hours with two people). My one comment is thay the slide should reach one rail higher to better align with the top of the mattress. For reference, we bought an 8" mattress (the recommended 6" is impossible to find sheets for). There's a bit of a drop there for our son to access the slide, he's very cautious about it.
