This is overall a nice purchase. We did get a defective piece that had a large cut in the pole, but Wayfair was quick to send a new one. The canopy itself is not well thought out. There’s no way you can just throw it over the top and expect it to stay. We have weaved it through the slats as well as made a few modifications that makes it more functional. Sturdy, but it doesn’t seem like the type of pergola that will last for a significant time. Picked this one for about what I wanted to spend and the reviews. Make sure you fasten to what ever surface you put it on. In my case I used wood screws to attach to our back deck. Also a must to use the ties provided to give the canopy some extra anchoring to the cross members of the pergola as a moderate to strong wind will damage it. Mine faces north so we adjust the shade to the east sunrise to the west sunset each day and it works great. I also picked up a couple of outdoor rated light weight fans to blow over my wife and I'd chairs and here in Texas it is really needed and welcome. Took me # 1/2 day to put it up and my daughter helped me hold it up while I assembled the corners. The cover will not last forever but I can always find a replacement on line. As other reviews have said some of the holes don't match up but I corrected that. Hint: use a power drill/driver to speed up the process. I'm sitting here under it this morning having my coffee on my back deck right now! For the money/ quality I could have given it 5 stars but because of the holes and some parts I gave it 4. I purchased a this gazebo. I was so happy with it that I decided to order another and during Covid I had to reach out to to Wayfair because some pieces do the manufacturerassembly line hired me from being able to finish my project to build it. Although it was a very difficult time for people to get any kind of packages delivered they end up sending me another package and then two weeks later I received a another gazebo and when I called them, they told me to keep it and I was ecstatic because now I didn’t have to send back the other gazebo and now I had additional parts in case I might need them in case any other parts had any issues or overtime I might need additional panels, etc. I love this company because.
