These standard latch strikes are constructed of steel and come in a satin nickel or oil-rubbed bronze finish. They feature an adjustable tab designed to eliminate the door slop and chatter of closed doors, and they’re installed with two #8 x 1 in. fasteners included with each package. These latch strikes are used by many to replace most residential interior and exterior door strikes. * Adjustment tip: To eliminate the loose rattling of a closed door, remove the strike plate and bend the tab slightly with a pair of pliers, adjusting left to right as necessary.

Finally a lip strike long enough!! As you can see, the current lip strike has been drilled many times, so there is no more wood to secure the top part. This maximum security combination strike is constructed of stamped steel and it comes plated in a classic bronze finish. It features slightly taller latch and bolt openings to accommodate door hardware spaced from 5-1/2 in. to 6 in. from center to center. This security strike is designed to replace the standard (separate) latch and deadbolt strike plates with a one-piece combo plate and up to 5 more screws for maximum security. Installation of this combo strike repairs and strengthens a locked door with six 3-inch. long screws that attach to the jack/trimmer stud to help prevent kick-ins. Some mortising and pilot hole drilling may be required for flush installation.
