I went out and bought glue to fix the problem and ended up with glue on my fingers, the finial and my sofa (my fault, but still not how I wanted to spend my first moments with this expensive lamp). Since then however it's been a joy to own. I love looking at it everyday and it may be my favorite lamp in the house. Bad first impression, but I'm truly glad to have it. Perigold dealt with the initial problem quickly and professionally. I can't comment on whether it's truly moss-colored as I have trouble with colors, but it's certainly beautiful.. David. Absolutely gorgeous! I’m really pleased with this lamp. It arrived within a few days of ordering and was extremely well packed. There is a small bit of assembly that is easily done, however, I did have a problem screwing the piece into the base. Even though it was tightened down completely it was still a bit wobbly because the metal was not flat. I resolved the situation by using a black rubber washer. I was able to snug it up and you can’t notice the rubber washer. The teal blue color is absolutely beautiful. Truly I would have given this lamp 5 stars except for the minor issue I described.
