No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. this is a handy little gadget that works well! It came fully charged and we were able to put it on right away. I only wish it came with an adapter to use on other items (like if we went camping, I could bring it to use) but for the purpose of not having a wire to trip over (which has happened- hence the purchase) it is GREAT!.
