It's exactly what my wife wanted, and she's happy with it. For installation, the gas line and the electrical wire have to share a very small space at the bottom in the back. Advice: Don't try to use a gas line that's longer than 36" (1m). Both a 3-prong and a 4-prong electrical wire were included. I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer. Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. So for that I highly recommend. However, it does have a few frustrating "features". The racks are difficult to use for a number of reasons. In the two months I've been using my machine, I still don't know the best way to load it. The top rack is OK (not great) but the bottom rack is bad. You can't put anything in the front half of the rack between the tines because everytime you push the rack in the dishes fall towards the back. I love having the flex tray at the top but the handle design is terrible and it is always coming loose. And on all the racks the tines that you can lay down never want to stay in place. The control panel has bright LED lights but the icons aren't lit up, which means at night when you want to use the machine you can't see the buttons because you're blinded by bright white light bars. Lastly, I put the machine online, which was handy for setting up washing cycles, but the other day it mysteriously disconnected from my phone and now I can't get the machine back online again.. Matt. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. I LOVE our new GE induction range. I have to admit, I was pretty uncertain about how I would feel about the change. The thing that bothered me the most was that my favorite skillet would no longer work well on the induction range. My husband purchased a beautiful cast iron skillet that I now love just as much. The range itself really does heat instantly. It can boil tap water in about a minute -- crazy! It is as easy to control as a gas range. The only down side of the range is on one side there are two burners that can be tethered together and operated together for a large pan - think rectangular pancake skillet. This feature is dumb because while the range top has markings indicating there would be even heating on the entire side of the range, including between the burners, that does not happen and you just have two separate hot spots on one large pan. I don't know why they did this. As to the oven, it is spacious -- you could definitely do a turkey. One of the racks pulls out of the oven, which is great. This means when you are doing something heavy or something you need to baste frequently, you don't have to lift it out of the oven -- you just pull out the rack. I like all of the features including the air frier. I should note that this is difficult to initially set up because the air frier will only work via an app on your phone. This means you need to set it up with wifi and that was pretty complicated. Once done, it's done forever (I hope!). The oven does not heat instantly like the range or like a gas range, but it also does not take as long as our old range. I feel like it takes about 12 - 13 minutes to heat up to 450, for example. The heat is even. I haven't used the self cleaning feature, but am glad it exists. I am also pleased with the storage drawer under the oven. It is large and easy to pull out.. Mary In Nor Cal.
