Overall a solid built vanity. There’s a center support brace underneath making installs with floor plumbing tricky. Little plumbing rework solves that. One of the drawer fronts does have a dent. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. It works great! For the price, it’s a great value. The fan works perfectly, and as other reviews have stated, it’s not loud on one or two, but it does get loud at three and up. I do wish the controls were a little more intuitive but one thing I love is that the same controls are on both sides of the vent (one set front left, one set back right), so it doesn’t matter which way it’s installed, and you can access buttons from the left or right. Overall it is a nice kitchen island and is what I was looking for. I was worried that the island might be too big, but it has a nice size and decent working height. The stainless steel top will help provide a hygienic surface when I perform tasks like making sausages. The open shelves will help for storing the fry pans and Dutch ovens that are usually clumsier to put in the cupboards. The side compartments will help for storing the cat food. The kitchen island will be more useful than the kitchen table I never used. The unit ships in two major pieces - the top and the lower part. There are also two smaller counter supports for the overhung section. The top is very heavy. It is bonded to a thick section of wood. Assembly is pretty easy with about 8 fasteners. The stainless steel corners of the top have some grinding marks on it and give the corners a slightly different color. They could have been buffed better but are acceptable. I broke a drawer pull during assembly. They are installed on the inside of the drawer. I did not realize that the pulls had posts that went part of the way into the hole. When removing the pull to put it on the outside. One half of the pull came out and the pull broke. Partially it was my fault but the pulls are flimsy and thin. Not so loud you can’t talk when it’s on high. Moves a hell of a lot of air and the lights are something like 4000k bright white and make up for the shadow this big boy creates. You can also point the lights which is a nice touch. Just know this unit DORS NOT have a remote blower like z-line’s website says but is vague about. I was real disappointed but in too much of a hurry to return it. That said it’s not terrible in noise level. This is a beautiful hood, at a great price. Wayfair customer service went above and beyond to replace the original “lost” shipment when the first transportation company claimed the hood was delivered and signed for. The documentation proved that to be impossible based on the date it left the warehouse.
