It is a Firm Bed, the base feels pretty solid, I only out 4 stars because the material feels cheap and there was some tears on the back of the headboard. We ordered a full-size bedframe and received a twin size. Went through the whole customer service process and had to mail back the piece through FedEx. Assembly took about an hour with two people, and while it could definitely be done solo, having an extra set of hands made the process much smoother and faster. Its a quality piece that will last for awhile. It can be adjusted to fit box spring or be used with a trundle. However it does not come with a trundle, Wayfair does not sell the trundle, and I'm having a hard time finding the trundle.
