This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this nes range hood. It is sleek, flat on the bottom whi h makes everything accessible and easy to clean. The fan is a.little louder than my old one was, but ok. The package arrived safely(extremely well packed) and on time. The only problem we had was removing the knockout, the vent access. We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. Really great at filtering out scents (way better than the over the hood microwave we had previously). It fits the same dimensions essentially too.
