There's a similar cheaper model with slower fan. the only design features we don't like is the extremely wide door, done for cosmetic reasons only. Looks good but you have to step back to swing it open. If installing yourself read the manual on venting, they default to recirculate instead of vent to outside. Found out the hard way. We are used to cooking with stainless cookware and the only usable burner for cooking on lower heat is the simmer burner. The others are just too intense. The grates are really heavy duty. Great range but am worried about what I consider a “design flaw.” At the very back part of the cooktop are many rectangular cutouts for steam to come out when the oven is on. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is.
