I have been eyeing this lamp for a while and it finally went on sale, which made me go forward to purchase. I bought 2 for each of my night stands in my bedroom. I read all the reviews and knew the pros and cons ppl were saying. My only disappointment with this lamp is that the finials are very cheap looking… not a heavy brass plated look. I decided to keep the lamps because I love everything else about them. I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look! I love these lamps. I am not a "modern" furniture lover, but these go great in my transitional house. They make a nice statement on nightstands and give off a warm, cozy light that works really well in a bedroom. The shape feels classic and elevated, and once styled, they look more expensive than the price point. My only reason for removing a star is that the metal finish read more gold in person than the softer brass tone I was expecting from the photos online. It’s not unattractive, just different than anticipated. Overall, I’m happy with them and they added a lot of warmth and balance to my space.
