First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. I would recommend bolting down the legs, I ended up putting lag bolts through the deck floor joists. That thing isn't moving! Overall a very large and solid umbrella, very happy with purchase.. The umbrella is great. Large in size and attractive. The assembly was a 2 person job at times and there was a point when the arm extensions had to be put on and the instructions should have mentioned that it would be a tight fit and might require force or maybe a hammer to help to slide together. Also the umbrella is a material I wasn’t expecting. I guess I was expecting more of a cloth but it’s attractive and we shall see how it holds up to the Las Vegas sun. One last thing. Wheels under the base to help with moving it would be nice because once you fill it with water there is no moving it without draining the water. And finally, giving a demonstration that has some walls or something would be nice so people who have walls or patio tops k ow that in order for the umbrella arms to open there is some clearance around the umbrella to open. We love our new cantilever umbrella! It is super easy to assemble. We assembled in 10 minutes! I love that we use sand as the weights instead of water. We filled our sands bags that are included the bags only…we got sand from local store… we purchased. 3-fifty pond bags. They include the bag to hold the sand which is Velcro and very easy to use. The umbrella doesn’t move! It’s a perfect weight and sand, unlike water, can not rust! LOVE the lights underneath the umbrella! There is a solar piece that you attached to the top and there is also a button that you can turn the lights off if you don’t want them on at night or whenever. The umbrella itself is fantastic as the size covers such a large space! We will be putting a dining table underneath. I would buy this again over and over! All I imagined and more. This umbrella delivers. I went from sadness, thinking the base wouldn’t fit under my table, to elation when I realized you could flip the attachments. They thought of everything. The lights are Solar, which attaches to the top of the umbrella. Don’t miss this, mine almost got thrown out with the trash, cause I didn’t realize the lights were Solar. Each individual light is professionally embedded, which turn on by way of a switch at the end of the umbrella, and provides just the right ambiance. Open, the umbrella covers a large rectangle table that seats 8, with room to spare around the edges. It comes with bags I filled with sand and securely holds the umbrella in place. Absolutely love and adore. Material seems strong, it is easy to set up. The base has a bag included to where you can just fill it in with sand if chose to. Additionally, it has a solar panel on the top so the lights inside can charge. There is also a button for you to change the light color, with several options. I personally will be placing mine, over a patio table, that is rectangular in shape and sits six people. It also opens and closest easily, and the box was not heavy, one person can carry.. Valerie.
