Excellent rug for the price. These photos were taken about 24 hours after unrolling and laying it down. There is still a slightly noticeable place where it was folded down the middle, but I expect that to lay down over the next several days. No shedding, and the colors are as expected from the photo. I am not using a pad because my furniture keeps it in place. I may add one for comfort but its not a must have. I chose it as I wanted something lighter in color (its a north facing room) that wouldnt immediately show how much my dog sheds (shes light brown to white), and has an interesting pattern that goes with my home. We needed a living room rug that would blend in with our floral chairs and accent the room nicely. We like rugs with thicker piles. This rug worked perfectly.
