It was helpful to have a second set of hands to hold it during part of the assembly but for the most part he did the install by himself. It’s a beautiful, solid, well built shower and we love it. Wow! I’ve been dying to see these walls for about 5 weeks. They were delivered right after Thanksgiving for our bathroom remodel, and they took up a LOT of garage space since then. The packaging was larger than the 5x8 ft wall size by at least 6” in every direction. There was some damage to the cardboard one one edge, but there was no damage to the product. Unfortunately the delivery drivers placed the package upside down, so I couldn’t even glance at the marble effect. I was afraid to try to flip it to look at it. I was worried that it might look tacky, the way some “marble” products have busy pattern repeats or weird colors (like the “marble” shower base we returned that was “marbled” with purple and brown streaks.). But I did not need to worry! These wall panels are fantastic! The marble effect is very subtle and natural looking. We made sure we had room to store them flat until our contractor could install them, which finally happened today! They have a matte, lightly textured feel that is similar to tile, but no grout lines to scrub!. The crew commented many times how luxe it all looks. My contractor will caulk it on Friday when he installs the new toilet and vanity, and then we can try it out on Sunday! I looked at every possible wall material before settling on these. Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Beautiful shower. Looks great in our master bathroom but we are still having problems with leaks at each corner we have tried sealants but it still leaks. We think that It has to do with the sliding doors having certain areas that are slightly opened but we cannot seal it otherwise the doors will not slide. We are still trying to fix this problem. I now can give it a 5 as it is fully installed. The sliding doors are beautiful and there are no leakages. My previous shower had a door which drains on the floor.
