I have a very senior litty girl who is losing function in her back legs, so she really can't jump. Ordered this for her and she loves it. I've seen her scoot up and down the stairs with confidence. It was easy to put together (pay attention to the directions, you Must build it the way they suggest or you'll have to take it apart and start over). The only complaint I have is that the bed is not balanced and the first time she jumped in it it fell off the back. I love this tower, and more importantly, all 3 of my cats love it as well! It’s as sturdy as any other cat tower I’ve had that’s around the same height, if not even more so and I have some big, energetic cats. Haha. The gray part is SO soft and weirdly enough, I’ve caught two of my cats “grooming” it multiple times! Haha. The rope is secured nicely and isn’t painfully pokey or scratchy like some sisal rope towers can be. The picture is of my biggest cat, Freyja, (who also happens to be my youngest at only about 9 months old) who is already about 16” tall from floor to top of head when sitting, and weighs about 15 lbs, and as you can see, even though she hangs out of both entrances, she even fits in the little cubby part and loves going in there. I didn’t realize we bought this on Wayfair lol. Anyways our two cats love this thing! They’ve slowly worked up from bottom scratching posts and were needing to replace the cording, but we’ve had this for 2 years and no complaints. Great compact size and doesn’t damage ceiling. Also because I saw some other reviews (might’ve been on different towers) I wanted to mention that we have a pair of tuxedo sisters (3 years), one is petite (~9 lbs) and the other is definitely not petite (~20 lbs), and they both enjoy this tree and have done so over the years individually and at the same time. We’ve never had any issues with the platforms warping or breaking, no safety concerns whatsoever. They don’t use the hidy hole so we delegated it as the ‘toy box’ and they enjoy tossing their small plushies out and scattering them around the room. I’d buy this tree all over and glad we found it, highly recommend. Update we just refurbished the cording with a hot glue gun, and it’s literally good as new, withstanding repeated scratching visits a week later. If needed we could buy more and reapply, but we managed to salvage the old and it’s working out great. The post are very sturdy, a staple gun wasn’t working but the hot glue is purrrrfect!!.
