Another purchase made without prior ok from husband or contractor but both were extremely happy with the choice. The Proline is an attractive and versatile range hood. Elegant LCD touch controls, with time delay and 6 speeds from 300 to 1100 CFM.

Looks very clean and modern, it was easy to install for two DIYers after watching ProLine video on YouTube. Sounds reasonable in our open plan kitchenhouse. Even though the shroud is wide, the air guide behind it on top of the motor doesnt leave a lot of space for the electrical outlet, so I recommend placing the outlet higher and off to the side.. The Proline range hood comes with a blower that can run quietly at 400 CFM but is powerful enough at 1100 CFM, its maximum setting. Blower and fan come completely installed and factory tested. Easy to change stainless baffle filters, elegant design, and efficient touch glass controls.

I have had this installed and in operation for about 6 months. The unit arrived undamaged and on schedule. The installation was ok but the mounting brackets of the unit are a little under designed. I added addition bracket to help secure the weight as it is not light. Be sure to consider that you need to plumb in venting that is at least 10" in diameter to carry the 900 cfm. You will likely need to purchase an additional piece for the chimney extension that prevents back drafts (a damper) that doesn’t come with it in order to meet code, but it is cheap and easy to get a hold of. We installed it in a basement utility room ceiling containing our washer/dryer. It maybe reduced the chill (this is Minnnesota in winter!), but I can't say it feels warm, however we adjust the temperature. Maybe it would work better if it was closer to the floor?
