During installation, we noticed a small dent at the bottom, but when I contacted Wayfair’s customer service, the representative offered 20 credit instead of requiring a return—absolutely amazing service. The unit came 99 pre-assembled all we needed to do was install the 2 foot brackets with two screws and follow the instructions to complete the pergola setup. We’re very impressed with both the quality and the functionality—being able to adjust the louvers separately at the top and bottom, with a full 180° open and close, is a fantastic feature. Used this to complete a screen around our HVAC and backup generator as required by the township. This is expensive compared to other screen options. However, this screen is much more substantial than any of the alternatives I've seen. Others are perhaps 1/8" thick, bend like cardboard, and can be cut with a utility knife. This is almost 1/2" thick, almost impossible to bend, and requires a table saw or circular saw to cut. So I was skeptical of the price, quality and engineering of this awning especially when I needed the larger 13x10 size, I was afraid it would be too flimsy but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the design and quality of this awning is very good. All the materials along with the engineering make it operate smoothly and efficiently the key is to mount it solidly and tighten all clamps so there is no movement. A bit of advice would be to not over tighten the small screws holding the two halves together they are meant to hold it together not for structural integrity. Common sense would tell you not to keep it open in a wind or heavy rain situation. Great value for the price. I installed it on my Sorara Mirador Pergola, and it worked well. I’d need is raising the underside height from 89” to 94”. Some of the louvers arrived with minor factory paint scratches. I reached out to Mirador for touch-up paint, but they don’t offer any. As an avid DIYer, I know the difference between good and bad products. This motorized blind is high quality. Everything from the fabric and housing quality to the ease of installation make this a great choice. Unfortunately, our primary reason for purchasing this was for privacy in the evening, as our deck opens up to community courts and gathering space. As it’s getting dark in the evening, and the lights are on in our kitchenfamily room, you can see everything in our home almost as clearly as if the shade were not in place. Also, my home is fully automated with Alexa control. I have two universal RF hubs (Bond Bridge Pro and Toyanc IRRF transmitter) for home automation, and for some reason, both accepted the programming frequency of the remote (433.92 MHz), but neither would transmit the right codes.
