I saw this on sale and ordered it. I loved the weight and seems closer to wood. ! I was lucky that I had a friend that could hang it for me and knew what to do with a slab door. This is an excellent door. It is solid. I did have to have it professionally installed since my house is a bit crooked. As you can seen in the pic where the door looks like unfinished wood on the side with the hinges, that's where the installer had to trim down the door to make it fit in the wonky space. As you can see, that's wood. Nice solid wood. The door is a very nice addition to my house. It looks modern while still maintaining a vintage feel. I will purchase a second door 100% for sure for my other room. I wanted to make sure this one was quality and it definately is. Eight-Door’s 2 Lite shaker profile door perfectly matches and complements the shaker panel door family which we have available in different designs and sizes. This solid wood door is made from planted forest trees in accordance with FSC regulations, being an environmentally friendly product. For a great and smooth finish, MDF veneer is used on the faces with 3 coats of white primer so you can add the finish of your choice to offer a bit more protection to the wood to last for years to come. The tempered frosted glass lets light through, saving energy while offering privacy. This door is meant for interior use and has a trimming allowance of 1/4 in. on each side and 1 in. on the bottom. Please note that trimming will damage the finish or the primer, so any edge that was trimmed must be sealed or painted to protect it from moisture.
