This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. Easy to connect/install. It does have an automatic shut off - there is a sensor on the side but it isn't flush to the wall - it sticks out enough that occasionally a cube will land on it and stays there, shutting it off even though there might be almost no ice in the bin. Not an issue while in steady use, as long as you flick any cubes off whenever you are in there but if you are counting on your down time to fill the bin, you might open it up in the morning to be a bit disappointed. It does it's job and as long as it is watched it makes the capacity I need it too, but with the issues with the shut off, should have gone with a bigger bin.
