Our very small kitchen never had room for a dishwasher. UNTIL Now! This 18" is perfect for our kitchen and the two of us. Does a very good job of washing although I rinse all dishes before placing them in the machine. Its not a garbage disposal and I want it to last forever. I usually use the Rapid Wash setting which is a 1 hour wash/rinse/dry. I remember someone saying this machine is loud. It is not as loud as my toaster.
