It just takes some serious pounding with the rubber mallet to get the pieces to go together, and I mean serious pounding. Just fair warning. The dish soap helps to get things going. This pool ladder is designed for above ground pools with 52in wall height. It comes with easily removable steps. The steps can be quickly detached and removed from the pool area when the pool is not in use. To replace the steps, simply set them in the base, then snap and lock them into place.

The ladder came in a box and was in perfect condition and packaged well. I only needed a screw driver to assemble it. I was able to do it myself in about 30 min. I do want to add that the instructions have both the 53 in and 48 in pool ladders. The 48 in will only have 3 steps on each side of ladder. I was struggling with this part until I looked back and realized it was only 3 steps. This ladder is very stable and is easy to remove and place the steps going into ladder. It does the job. Has a nice aesthetic. Im in South FL cold showers are sometimes needed. The instructions are lacking. The dont say what size or depth to drill holes for the anchors. Also, they could have made all connections 34 inch. This would have mitigated needed for adaptersreducers, could have used a washing machine supply line instead of garden hose. They were as bright as I hoped they would be. But they are fairly bright. And you dont need batteries because you just charge in the sun. They are handy to have if the electricity goes out. They dont light up much more than the immediate area so the light doesnt extend much outward. But you do get four so thats a bonus. And they are really cute.
