These were easy to break apart, but if you do it with a knife, then when you score it and break it, they don’t always break in a completely straight line, which meant at the seams I did have to do a little bit of caulking with gray caulk to make it look a little bit better. I bought these tiles to put over my existing mosaic backsplash. It was too costly to rip out and install new, real tiles. Additionally, this is a great way for me to experiment with colors to see how I would like a different pattern/color long term if and when I choose to actually go through the replacement. This took a little bit more time then I expected but overall, it went well and I liked the fact that I could use regular scissors or utility knife to cut the times. The corners were a little challenging but doable. I really like the way they look. You can see in some spots the unevenness of the existing tiles but the variation in the color pattern helps hide this. I chose the green with the existing Fantasy Brown granite.. Christina M.. Ohio. The pic is misleading. There was another picture showing it around fireplace which would be more right size. I cut them down and made 4, 4" tiles but i would call these tile decals too. I love these tiles!! My mantel had an empty gap that always bothered me. They are easy to work with and cut, I used an angle grinder and it worked great. I did score the tiles with a glass cutter and I also taped the tiles where I needed to grind to. I didn’t want to do too much cutting so I used a peel and stick Moulding to fill in the little gap at the bottom. The photos don’t do it justice, they are very iridescent. I highly recommended them!.
