We could see, via our front door video camera, that the delivery person had just flung the package up onto our porch, even though FRAGILE was clearly printed it. We called Wayfair and they responded graciously with an immediate replacement. We did ship the broken clock back to Wayfair, so that they could share the damaged parts with the shipping company.. Classy looking clock. Bigger than I expected! The face does have more of a creamy yellowish tone to it (not white like one of Wayfair's stock photos show), but I don’t mind. The ticking is completely silent unless you put the clock up to your ear. There's not a lot of weight to it, making it feel slightly cheap, but I don't plan to handle it much except to replace batteries or change the time when needed.
