This lamp was relatively easy to assemble with 3 parts which all screw together. The only complexity was removal the protective plastic around the product and managing the cord which ran through the center of each part. While one person could easily assemble this, it was helpful to have second person prop up the parts while being screwed together. The results speak for themselves. The lowest hanging of the 5 lights rests at about 5’3” and the highest at 6’2” as described. The light is a natural warm color which plays well against neutral tones instead of washing them out. Perfect, perfect, perfect! This light is in a room 13' x 13' with 9' ceilings, over a queen sized bed. It's fantastic. I have 40 watt bulbs in the fixture. It is not on a dimmer. It casts a lovely warm light throughout the room. It's not bright-white reading/task light, but I didn't want that. I wanted useful but calm mood lighting. These bulbs with this fixture would be absolutely perfect over a dining table. If you used 60 or 100 watt bulbs it would be quite bright. Apologies for the poor photography - it's tough to photograph bare bulbs!
