Industry-leading low flow activation with a minimum flow rate and minimum activation flow rate of .50GPM. Ultra-low NOx burner meets SCAQMD rule requirements of safety for low emissions. Additional safety features include a flame sensor, overheat cut-off switch, gas and water leak detectors, and exhaust and water temperature sensors. Venting up to 100’ with 3” PVC or up to 50’ with 2” PVC pipe. Can be used with up to 5 bathrooms depending on inlet temperature; .94UEF (.96EF Canada), 180,000 BTU efficiency for the 10 GPM models, and 199,000 BTU efficiency for the 11 GPM models. Luckily i got some help from my friend to set the water heater heater in place. Very tight tolerances, to install, but absolutely stunning. We have taken one star off because the water pressure on the bidet is not as strong as we are used to, but it still does the job. Solid, reliable water heater that does exactly what it should. The performance has been excellent so far—plenty of hot water and quick recovery. Installation was straightforward, and it operates quietly. The Smart features are kind of neat and fun to look at, but honestly not something I’d say is essential or worth paying extra for. After spending a substantial amount of time reading reviews and product ratings for several 40 gallon gas water heaters, I selected this unit which was on sale for a competitive price. All my appliances are the GE brand and have been very reliable over time. Most big box brands only come with a 6-year tank warranty although upgradeable at an extra charge.
