This is a very soft area rug! I got a pad for underneath it but you probably wouldn’t need one. The cats LOVE it. Due to the jute fibers in its construction, some threads may naturally come loose; if that happens, simply trim the thread with scissors.

The rug is very pretty and adds alot of color in a otherwise colorless room. The print is clear, color looks true to picture, and it has a smooth texture so no pile. My only, ONLY, complaint is that I really wished it was thicker because its so thin. I have dogs and kids, im really hoping that it holds up well. I plan to get a thick rug pad and may stitch on some fringe to make it look more like an oriental rug. In my opinion I think for the price you are paying is mostly for the Rifle Paper name and not so much the quality. Either way I do find this rug very pretty, and my kids seem to enjoy it too.. Sarah.
