Arts and Crafts artisans were particularly interested in the natural world, drawing inspiration from its colors and movement. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Edith Collection features soft geometric motifs with a muted palette. Craftsmanship and showing the hand was a big part of this decorative trend, so each rug is carefully hand-knotted, dyed with an artisan vintage wash, and made of soft 100% New Zealand wool pile on a sturdy cotton warp. Their designs play with repetition and negative space, drawing from both folk art and romantic styles, as was typical of the day.
