The telescoping rail system is a great benefit. We have not yet unpacked the individual panels as we are waiting a remodel to be complete first. I bought this bay window set so that I wouldn't have to buy three separate rods and so that it would have a clean look across my window. There is no space above the window to hang the rods, they must be on the side of the window. Because of that, I was unable to hang the supports far enough apart to use the joint on the front rod. So I ended up having to hang them separately resulting in an unfinished look since there is no cap for the interior parts of the rods. I would not have purchased this rod or the matching ones for my other windows if I had realized this. The brackets are too deep in my opinion. The very large screw hole in the bracket leaves little space to install the lower screw. They are also not high quality, with a seam that runs down the entire rod. I would not purchase again.. Thes design was perfect for a window with extremely limited space for a curtain rod and finials. I looked for a long time to find the right design for full functionality and my aesthetic. These were almost perfect. I’m glad I chose light weight curtains because the rod is not as big in diameter as I would have liked. I probably could use two sets of curtains on the window but I don’t think the rod would hold the additional weight. My curtains are fine and do cover the window fine but I would prefer to add an additional set for aesthetics only. I still love the design and would buy them again if they only came in this size. I did purchase a rod larger than I needed so that it is not hanging on just a weaker single rod. It has the support of the rod inside the rod that I’m not using.
