I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. The Hydro Massage System includes a hydro pump with an in-line water heater, an eco-friendly ozone sterilization system, intensity dial control, and strategically positioned hydro jets. The Ella Capri has 15 strategically placed hydro jets: 9 upper fixed jets provide relief to your back, and hips/thighs, and 6 lower adjustable jets for your feet/calves. The Air Jet Massage System includes an air pump with a 3-speed variable push control, strategically positioned air jets, and an auto-purge maintenance system. The Capri has 16 air jets: 8 upper jets for your back, hips/thighs, and 8-floor jets for a foot/leg massage. The 5-piece fast-fill faucet has five (5) pieces: two temperature levers, a diverter lever, a mounted faucet, and a pull-out multi-functional hand shower.
