After having the fan installed buy an electrician and downloading the app I am prompted to pay $4.99 weekly or $29.99 yearly to control the phone using the app. None of this is disclosed in the product description. There is a button in the app to "continue to limited version" which is supposedly free but there is no free version. It simply sends you in an endless loop where you are prompted to pay them to use the app. The manufacturer and product listing are dishonest and you're asking for trouble purchasing this fan. If you lose the remote or the remote brakes, you lose all ability to control the light or the fan. That was the entire purpose of purchasing a smart enabled fan so that if something happened to the remote it doesn't brick the device. This is outright fraud. Do not trust this listing.. Christian. We receive our 52” fan well packaged. It took a little longer for delivery because of some kind of mix up but after talking to customer service from Wayfair the problem was taken care immediately. You can’t beat Wayfairs customer service. We have not been able to install this fan yet, so I will update later. It appears to be very nice with a lot of nice features. I think it being a smart fan will make it convenient. Update. This fan would not work with two different down-rods we bought so we decided to hang it with the shorter one it came with. We think it will be ok and looks good. We finally got this fan up and we really like it . The aged pewter with the gray blades look beautiful. The light will go nice and bright or a low light. It has up to six speeds and is very quiet. It comes with a remote and we had no problem hooking it up to our phone and google assistant. So convenient using the google assistant with it. I’m having someone install this and they haven’t gotten to it yet. It’s a nice size fan for a bedroom which is where we will be using it. The light (pictured in the middle) is simple but “clean” looking. The fan blades have 2 colors and I love the timer on the remote! Houston we had a problem. Nothing to do with the fan but when installing my back went out so here it is. Everything went together fine but I was unable to finish the install. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty.
