I specifically bought this item because the look tied my room together. I bought a metal french cleat to wall mount it. It is not designed to be wall mounted and is not well suited for that. There is an outside edge around the back that sticks out further than the wood frame. I had to buy some wood to use as a stand-off to add depth to the wood frame so that I could mount the french cleats. That was unexpected but I found my workaround for it. The frame underneath the wicker type material does not fully support the wicker. I have worries that pushing against the headboard in the wrong place could stretch or break the wicker because it isn't fully supported. Only time will tell. Also the wicker finish isn't the most durable. During installation I have accidentally created scratches in the finish and it was apparent it doesn't take much to damage it.. Nicolas. Urbandale, IA.
