My old Black Decker lasted 18 years and finally wouldn’t steam any longer. I looked in the local stores and they now are showing the newer models of irons with the very pointed front ends and not much area to iron on even in the middle of these irons. I checked Wayfair which is the place to go when you can’t locate the items anywhere else and sure enough they had this Black Decker Classic Iron. It is perfect, even better than my older model, good looking, easy to operate and to fill for steaming I could not locate it in any of the stores in my area but found it on Wayfair. I’ve been using this iron for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly made ironing way less annoying. The soleplate glides really smoothly, even over thicker fabrics like jeans, and it doesn’t snag or stick. It heats up pretty fast, which is great when I’m in a rush. The cabinet can be installed with the cabinet door opening on the left or right, so you can install it on the side that makes the most sense for your space. The cabinet’s door exterior is a finished white that can be left as is or painted to match other cabinets in your space. Inside the cabinet is an ironing board that measures 11.75” wide and 41” long, large enough for comfortable ironing while still being small enough to not take up too much space. The ironing board can rotate a full 90 degrees to the right or left, giving you the flexibility to position the board in the most comfortable and convenient space in whatever area you install the cabinet in. The cabinet also has a built-in height adjustment slot for the board, allowing you to raise or lower the board two inches at any time after installation. Installed built in ironing board during a laundry room remodel. The cabinet is heavy and well made. The cabinet holds a standard size iron and other supplies.
