They’re perfect. They’re a little lightweight. There is a hole in the bottom but you have to unplug it. There is plenty of room if you want to put soil in it I prefer just to put the plants on the top so I put weights in the bottom so they wouldn’t fall over into the pool I think they’re lovely and they look very nice on my pool side.. I take care of entryway planters at our little church. The ones I have had there for six years had come apart and were leaking at the bottom. While I have not yet brought this to Church or put potting mix in or planted it yet still chilly at night in Minnesota, looking at the construction of this one I am very highly satisfied. The product is hand-made by skilled artisans and then high fired in kilns to provide you with a beautiful, durable finished product. The different finishes of terra cotta make each one unique. Terra cotta must be protected in the wintertime to prevent damage from freezing.

This pot planter is high-fired centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. Due to the processes used in the manufacturing of their hand-made and hand-glazed containers, all variations with respect to firing, and crackling are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. The glazes on their containers consist of natural, not chemical, components, and therefore the final color of the product will vary. This process creates the unique beauty of each piece.
