This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. This range hood is very nice looking. Assembly was easy. It took a little time to remove the protective plastic from the surfaces, but still well worth it. So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back. Really great at filtering out scents (way better than the over the hood microwave we had previously). It fits the same dimensions essentially too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this nes range hood. It is sleek, flat on the bottom whi h makes everything accessible and easy to clean. The fan is a.little louder than my old one was, but ok. The package arrived safely(extremely well packed) and on time. The only problem we had was removing the knockout, the vent access.
