They have remained charged for a month and always come on and are triggered from a good distance. No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. Love the shape over the other round options we have had in the past. We havent installed it yet, but I purchased 2 for the new bathroom renovation. Giving it only 4 stars because the flexibility in the arms is not consistent in both directions. Both mirrors are intended to fold flat inside an upper cabinet on our separate vanities and one of the cabinets is positioned in a way that requires the mirror to fold in one specific direction. The mirror is set to primarily fold in the opposite direction, but can be made to fold how we need it if the mirror itself is turned around. Its awkward, but we are going to make it work because we liked the style over the round options and it better coordinates with the new bathroom. If you have not used one of these mirrors before, I highly recommend getting a hardwired version with high magnification. I installed a similar one in my last house and it was a favorite feature of the buyers that looked at the house. Not to mention my favorite added feature as well. No batteries or dim lights.
