This shelf looks beautiful, but installation was more difficult than expected. It was challenging to align and level the two wood pieces during assembly. I also don’t feel the base is sturdy enough to handle the pressure of a traditional pump hand soap dispenser. To avoid putting stress on it, I switched to an electric soap dispenser. I have 4 of these! They are solid and well built. The paint is kind of a chalky black so I wiped it off and gave it 2 coats of satin spray sealer.
