The electric standing desk is sturdy and nice. It is traditional with a sleek design look. The electric height adjustment works smoothly and quietly, making it super easy to switch between sitting and standing modes throughout the day. The built-in power outlets are nice, no more crawling under the desk. It is, however, not easy to put together. It has a lot of parts, so be prepared to dedicate time to that and it takes a couple of hours for the assembly when doing it all alone. The fact that there were no gliders for the drawers is a bit disappointing, because they just hang when pulled out. The original desk I received had some scratches on a couple of parts and the wooden dovels provided to connect the desk top were fragile and broke during the assembly. Reached out to Wayfair support with the part number needed to replace the damage and they were so understanding and supportive enough to provide a new free replacement and told me to dispose off the original desk that was no longer functional. This review is for the mahogany 19.7" x 28" x 16.3" version of the product. The size of the platform is perfect for my 1 extra wide monitor. The standing height is sufficient for me (I am 5' 7" tall). The height is also just barely sufficient for my husband (who is 6' 3" tall), it would probably be a bit short for anyone who is taller than that (depending on the height of their desk off the ground to begin with). if you need a sit-stand desk for your home office that won't break the bank, this is the option for you. My company offers ergonomic online consults and noticed my old-fashioned leather top wood desk was too high for my height. Therefore, she recommended I get a sit/stand desk as it will be lower and will give me the option to stand during the day esp. meetings. The company does pay for them, so it was an added bonus. This one was a good option. I am incredibly impressed with the finished product . It took me about 4.5 hours to assemble. A lot of that time consisted of the screws and such needed to piece it together. My intention is to use this on the days that I work from home and I love it.
