I purchased this to extend our usable space on our patio. It took 2 people about 5 hours in the Texas heat to put this together. We did have some experience with this type of assembly so that helped streamline things. It definitely needs to be anchored, but once it is the awning is quite stable. This just got put together and is being used on an upper porch I needed help but is went together nicely I'm hoping it will withstand the wind but I really like it and it will be getting a strap to help keep it in place just in case.
