At the recommendation of another reviewer we did get a rug pad for underneath as it is soft but not as plush as the one we had previously that we had to replace due to wear and it is in a spot where our dogs love to lay. Tried two other beds prior from wayfair that were supposed to be plush but were very firm instead. This one actually is comfortable so far. It unrolled and took its proper form right away which was unlike the other two brick beds but it did Stink like chemical foam really strong for days. We could still smell it after 5 days. As some reviews mentioned, it did have a strong chemical smell initially, so I let it air out on the deck for a few hours. The colors are a beautiful mixture of medium blues, grays, and ivory blending together nicely. The size is perfect in front of my large gray sofa. The rug is soft and appears to be well made.
