Works too not as sharp but still cuts bought another one from WS. 15 yrs ago great quality..so now I have a full set from wayfair. As I always do I remind myself knives are extremely sharp and you will lose a finger if not careful while cutting tomato. I promptly slice my finger open. I honestly only purchased this knife because I wanted to see what the "extra wide" actually ment; as it is also offered in the chefs blade. It is slightly heavier than my other pairing knife (which i do prefer). By 'wide,' this refers more to the depth of the blade, versus if the blade makes a 'wider' cut. I'll try to post a photo of one of my regular pairing knives next to the extra wide one to help explain!
