This light fixture is beautiful. Its is heavy and very solid. My husband was able to hang it in about an hour by himself (although it would have been easier with 2 people due to the weight). The 2 temporary bars that allow the fixture to hang while you connect the electric wires was a great idea to make installation easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kitchen and dining area is a hybrid room; the cooking section has a conventional ceiling, but the nook has a cathedral. Remedying these stark differences in design has been a challenge since purchasing the home. We had a ceiling fan and 3 bulb fixture above our kitchen table, but struggled with low light levels. Install was a breeze since it's pre-wired and comes with plenty of chain. While there were concerns initially about going with such an upgrade instead of a more basic fixture, those were put to rest once putting the bulbs in and hitting the switch for the first time. We ooh'd, and ahh'd, and sheepishly cleaned the cobwebs from the corners that we were unable to see clearly before. It balances out our high ceiling and makes our house look more like a home.
