I told him the message that’s blinking on the hood screen and he asks , so do you need parts ? What ?! How am I supposed to know. Oh my goodness. That’s why I’m calling him, to figure this out. Honestly save your money and your time. I will never purchase from wayfair again. I will update this review, the very helpful technician that is asking me if I need parts is suppose to come to my home tomorrow, therefore I need to miss work to wait for him. Meh. It’s ok I guess. Pretty flimsy in comparison to the Miele that I’m replacing. I had very specific measurements for the chimney size, exhaust venting and style that would work so I guess beggars can’t be choosers but it’s not really what I would consider to be high end or even mid quality. Just cheaply made in my opinion. It’s held on with 2 x 1.25” 6 wood screws and my wife can lift it up by herself. The Miele we took down was a beast and solid like a piece of granite. This thing I can bend with my bare hands. Also the packaging is pretty lame. When it arrived the styrofoam was broken and there was a big dent on the back I had to hammer out (won’t ever see it). Miyabi 5000 FCD Shotoh, 13cm blade. The photos, or petty knife, is ideal for the preparation of smaller cuts of meat and fruit, and vegetables. It has a fine carbide steel core with a hardness that gives very good cutting edge retention and initial sharpness. The core is embedded in 48 layers of steel which gives each blade its unique Damascus-design pattern. Razor-like sharpness is achieved by a three-stage grinding, sharpening, and polishing process called Honbazuke honing. The entire length of the cutting edge can be used as there is no finger guard. For best care, wash by hand, and maintain and sharpen using whetstones. We’d recommend using a wooden chopping board as opposed to glass, ceramic, or stone boards as these will dull the cutting edge.
