Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. I love this little door, but I was going for a kitschy look in my space. This door material is like a very thick shower curtain and the handle doesn’t look amazing. Also there will be gaps in the top where the track is and the sides do not mount completely flush. You can see shadows through it slightly with the right lighting. If you want full privacy, this is probably not the best choice.. Meggan. Tue Jul 29 2025
