The assembly can be tricky but we found that if you attach only one side of the seat, add the support bar and then attach the other side of the seat it’s much easier. The instructions tell you to attach the seat (both sides) and the put the bar in but we could not get it in there so this was our solution. I ordered two of these and placed them sideways so that I could have a 16 wide and 24 feet long covered area. It definitely took four people about four hours to put up the first one but second one went a lot smoother after figuring out all the louvers. I’ve had it up for about a month so far with some pretty strong winds and so far so good. We did have a decent rain and it kept everything dry when I closed the louvers but then we had a torrential rain and it was just way too much for the small areas to hold so it definitely leaked in a few spots. This is a beautiful gazebo. The instructions are in pictures so if you need words for direction you are out of luck. It took my husband and I a total of 24 hours to put it together and he is a mechanic. The total time was partially because of our unusual placement in which the gazebo extends further than our patio space. Also, we secured the front posts in an unconventional manner by placing them in large pots which were then filled with heavy materials. There are what seems like millions of screws and other pieces. There were quite a few "disagreements" while assembling this item which was entertaining for the neighbors. We both agreed that if anyone ever asks us to help them build a gazebo we will politely decline. All parts were present but we made sure of this prior to starting the build. There were a few times that we could have used the help of another person when building the frame but stepladders helped immensely.
