Great product so far. And aesthetically, the most minimal and elegant dehumidifier I could find. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. I’ve owned the fridge for about 3 weeks and it is a solid upgrade. PROS: It looks great and elevates the look of the kitchen to gourmet. The water/filter quality is top tier and the auto sense fill feature saves time when filling up a glass or a measuring cup. And of course it chills and freezes nicely with features that boost the capability for special circumstances such as installation or recovering from a power outage. CONS. It’s missing a few “normal folks” features that I’ve enjoyed over the years and that I would expect for the cost. 1. It is massive and takes 4-6 people to deliver it; annotate that during delivery or they won’t send enough people to get it off the truck. Also, installation and haul away aren’t included. Be prepared to pay a few hundred extra. 2. The door isn't magnetized - so it won’t hold a magnet. 3. We really like the way it cooks salmon fillets using the Speed Cook technology -- a combination of upper halogen element, the lower element, convection and microwave. Pretty amazing. The nice exterior design looks good in our kitchen, right above a conventional Cafe wall oven. We purchased this oven to replace our previous (almost identical) 240V Advantium Custom Speed Cook oven. We appreciate most of the subtle display firmware/software improvements in the new VS1 design compared with the older NS1 model, which we replaced due to odd rebooting every few weeks. We loved the older model (other than the reboots) and appreciate the new one even more, except for the relatively loud alert sound when we open the door to check the temperature of something we are cooking. It’s easy to use—exactly as it should be. It’s noticeably quieter than the previous brand—again, as it should be. And most importantly, it performs flawlessly. The dampness in the air disappeared quickly, and now it runs only when needed. We’re collecting a full tank every three days instead of two tanks a day in the beginning to get the air comfortable. I may eventually connect it to a permanent drain, but for now I like the flexibility of moving it to different areas as needed. Love that is has a handle and is on wheels for easy transportation too. Whirlpool has always been a good brand for appliances and it seems they know what they are doing with dehumidifiers too. After 30 days of use it has made a huge difference in the climate of our home.
