We couldn’t be happier with this pergola. The materials feel sturdy, well-made, and built to last, and the modern design completely transformed the look of our deck . The standout feature is definitely the adjustable louvered roof. Being able to fully open it for sunshine, completely close it for shade or light rain, or position it anywhere in between gives us incredible flexibility throughout the day. It’s one of the main reasons we chose this pergola. Assembly took us about 5 hours, with most of the work being done by one person and occasional help from a second person when needed. We did make a mistake during assembly that was entirely our fault, and it probably cost us at least an hour to correct. Had we not made that error, the installation would have gone even faster. First one came with a cracked sink. Wayfair sent a replacement sink. We pay a handyman to build things like this for us, (interior design company) he's great at it and usually is very fast. This thing had him cussing up a storm. If he rated it the rating would be negative. Every step fought him. Works well, but is definitely not white white. Everything in the bathroom is white or gray, and this definitely looks a yellow compared to the other items. Smaller than I wanted it will not hold the towels side by side. If your plug is behind the rack there is not enough room for the towels to hang and its a fight to get them on the rack. Also the rack does not heat as well the only area that heats is where the towel is laying across the bar not just touching it. My husband handled most of the assembly, though he definitely needed an extra set of hands to safely erect the support pillars and main frame. Make sure your electric drill is fully charged and ready to go, as there are quite a few screws involved in securing the slats. Once it's up, though, the payoff is immediate. This pergola offers a perfect reprieve from the sun throughout the day, featuring a smooth louvered system that is incredibly easy to operate. Each side opens and closes with one fluid motion, giving us precise control over exactly how much sunlight we let in. The wood grain coating on the aluminum frame adds an elegant and timeless touch. We really appreciate that the four outer pillars each have a drainage hole, thanks to the advanced drainage system that efficiently collects rainwater by channeling it down through 4 pillars.
