My living room has vaulted ceilings and is on the larger size. I have a controlled lighting switch which allows the room to be great illuminated to dimly and both look great with this as it has 5 lights. This is the only lighting needed in the room! I had 3 floor lamps in the room and this fixture does the job that the other 3 didn’t and it’s very cute. It was a 2 person install due to its size. This is the perfectly sized LED outdoor light fixture for us. I have taken various shots for you so you have an idea of scale and appearance. It is elegant and understated at the same time, which is what we wanted given that the fixture needed to be right next to an awning, and located in a rather narrow piece of wall as you will observe. It provides beautiful up and down lighting. We wanted a good amount (not glaring) light for ease of access in/out of that door, and wanted to add a bit of interest at that location by incorporating the contemporary (or modern if you will) feature of up/down lighting. We needed something which would not fight our other outdoor fixtures, so this is the perfect fit. If we had a totally contemporary or modern home, I would probably order this for the entire home. The look of the outside of our home is Mediterranean so all of outside has that flare, which is why this particular fixture had to just do its thing as it blended in with the black and white stripped awning, as it also brought in a focal point of interest at that otherwise boring location. It did all of that! Now, this is the replacement light. The first one which came in was installed (as this one) by our electrician. It become hot almost immediately and after not even an hour, I had to turn it off as it was so hot we could hardly touch it and it made the awning very hot. I immediately reported it to Wayfair and they handled it directly with WAC. They sent me this replacement which is perfect. That is why I gave them the full 5 stars. It's not just the product, it was what happened when the one in a million doesn't work well, how they handled that situation. They told me I could keep or pitch the hot one yet I am going to pitch it as there is no way I could use it nor give it to anyone. Again, the replacement is perfect, does not get hot, gives wonderful light as you can see, is a beautiful shade of black, blends well with various styles and could stand beautifully alone if it had to, and I am beyond happy with it. Very attractive bathroom light fixture. I ordered the brushed nickel, and it goes great with my other brushed nickel fixtures. Can be installed facing up or down. we got the outdoor post lantern a few weeks ago and got it up next to the driveway close to the kitchen door, it is great in the evening to sit outside and not have to move around to get a light to come on, we also got a shimmering light to go inside of it, and it looks like one of those old timey post you see in the westerns or old movies where someone had to go around and light up all of the street lights, and the glass being frosted it is just stunning. we love it....
