This was a replacement for one that lasted 5 years (including midwest winters)... my 2 cats love hanging out in this. Assembly takes some time and some mechanical skills... a drill is helpful for screws. I live in a city and this is on a 4th floor balcony... they love sitting/napping in this from spring to fall and chirping at birds and squirrels in a nearby tree, and watching the action in my Chicago alley... lots of good people and pet viewing from the safety of the balcony catio!.
